The Bunker

Operating a personal homelab as a hands-on extension of professional work. Proxmox VE on bare-metal as the virtualization layer, running VMs and containerized services on Docker. Self-managed networking via VLANs, Pi-Hole DNS, and Tailscale VPN, Samba-backed storage for backups and r/datahoarding. Observability through Uptime Kuma, Grafana and Prometheus.

The biggest barrier to growth in an infrastructure role is not having infrastructure to learn and experiment on. A personal homelab solves that. Every new tool, deployment pattern, or failure scenario gets tested here before it touches production. What's learned feeds straight back into the day job.
